14 years ago I crossed the finish line of the Chicago Marathon and said "I'm never doing that again!". That was true until this year. I've decided to support GLASA and raise money for the 550+ athletes who through GLASA are able to participate in sports and recreational activities just like other "able bodied" individuals. I've been blessed to be able to throw on a pair of shoes and go play hoops on Sunday mornings with my buddies or simply go out for a run, bike or even play golf without giving it a second thought. That's not the case for our athletes. Your support can make it possible for a child with spina bifida to learn to swim, a veteran with an amputation to use sport to overcome a traumatic injury or a young adult with cerebral palsy to chase their Paralympic dream. As a board member we are committed to growing our organization to serve more individuals and achieve our vision to "Let no one sit on the sidelines". Thank you for your support!
