Description

 

Goalball is a Paralympic team sport that utilizes a ball made of hard rubber. The ball has bells inside which make noise when in motion so that players can locate it audibly. Individuals who are blind or visually impaired will learn how to play this very exciting game of goalball.

 

Who: Adults that are visually impaired. Ages 18 and up

Eligibility: Anyone who is blind or visually impaired is eligible to participate. All athletes compete blindfolded.
 
Equipment: A limited number of eyeshades are available to borrow.
 
Date: Fridays  
 
     September 18 - December 15 (NO Practice: 10/13 or 12/8)

     February 2, 9, 16, 23

     March 2, 9, 16, 23

     April 6, 13, 20, 27

     May 4, 11, 18, 25

     June 1, 8, 15
