Description

Para Pickleball is an inclusive and adaptive version of the popular sport of pickleball, designed to accommodate players with varying abilities and mobility challenges.

Pickleball is a paddle sport played using a perforated, plastic ball over a tennis-type net on a badminton-sized court. The game can be played in a singles or doubles format. Wheelchair pickleball is played similarly to the game of stand up pickleball. One difference is wheelchair athletes may allow the ball to bounce twice before returning it to the other side of the net and the wheelchair is considered part of the athlete’s body during play.

Instruction is provided on rules, strategy and technique. Sport chairs are available to use upon request.

Indoor Pickleball will take place from April 3rd to May 22nd at Brick House Pickleball in Lake Forest. Outdoor will be May 29th - August 28th at Keith Minone Community Park Tennis Courts in Mundelein.

Ages 16+. Wheelchair and Ambulatory.
